Why is MG starting a Podcast?
From the very beginning, I have always wanted to start a podcast. In order to spread our message on the interweb to make sure that everyone from all over can listen. However, as you all know MG is a growing community and we decided to hold off and prioritise other ventures but we are proud to say that we have grown so much that alongside the phenomenal events we have been putting on and will continue putting on such as our panels / gaming tournaments and showcases, we will be adding an MG podcast to the ever growing list of content we provide. Welcome all to the MG podcast, hosted by me – Dark Knight aka Alan and the MG team. Our first podcast will be live Today on a latitude of streaming platforms including Spotify / apple music and Soundcloud.
MG are hosting an online podcast, for the latest news & showcases in the industry be sure to tune in.
We are proud and excited to share this with you all! #mgsquad It’s available on numerous streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Anchor and Soundcloud.

I am struggling to find where I belong in the gaming world. Being a woman of color and gaming don’t seem to be things that typically go together and when I found out there was a group like this I was star struck! I love defying stereotypes, and being proud of my color. To the question you’re probably wondering right now, if you’ve seen my picture. I’m Black and Mexican.
I am apart of the African American Honorary at my school, and it has been my school home. So to find an even more niche family for me in the gaming world would be wonderful.

“The first time I saw the name “Melanin Gamers”, I immediately knew it was something I needed to be a part of. It took me a long time to not only appreciate the Melanin in my skin but find other gamers who look like me who also play/enjoy similar games so finding this inclusive space was a breath of fresh air. Anzy is kind, supportive, inspiring & a huge motivation to me. Most importantly Melanin Gamers promotes diversity, positivity & inclusivity to all whilst also advocating for people of color who are Gamers which aligns with my personal morals and values”.

Melaningamers has opened up a whole new community of content creators and gamers that I would have never found on my own. This community is very supportive and open to everyone. Being a part of this community provides streamers with a sense of belonging and is constantly developing and evolving to become one of if not the best community on twitch, mixer, YouTube, and Facebook gaming. Being a part of this stream team has breathed new life into my own stream as well. In a word…Melaningamers is awesome.

“What MG means to me is a network where I can watch and play with gamers that not only have mutual gaming interests but share similarities in culture giving the experience another level of depth with in the gaming community”.
